Focus: Catholic Life
For: Teaching assistants

Description:

Supporting Pupils Develop a Positive Mindset.

In this session, staff will develop strategies to help them support pupils struggling with low self-esteem to achieve a more positive mindset. Attendees will understand how to reframe negative thinking and learn a range of strategies to support pupils build their emotional resilience. Key focus areas include self-esteem, affirmations, gratitude, reframing negative thought patterns and celebrating personal powers.

Director’s Note:

TAs have shared that they often don’t feel prepared to deal with some of the issues they are being faced with when supporting pupils with their emotional resilience. This session is aimed at supporting them to do this. Perhaps a session for all TAs and SENDCO to attend together?
