Staff Meeting: Applying Havening (Day 2 of 2)

Focus: Staff Meeting
For: All staff

Description:

Just like adults, kids and young students need stress relief tools to help them stay calm, alert, and become emotionally regulated.

In this session Affirmational Havening will be introduced to cover doubt when a pupil is not feeling confident in a particular situation, such as making friends, social anxiety and exam stress. There will be sufficient time to explore how Havening can be used, not only on a 1-2-1 basis, but consider the benefits of using this in the classroom environment. The training will focus on the following benefitting both staff and classroom activity.

  • Engaging: Brain games can help keep children engaged and focused in their lessons (mainly in primaries).
  • Self-acceptance: Havening can help deepen self-acceptance and increase self-confidence.
  • Personal resilience: Havening can help strengthen personal resilience and coping strategies.
  • Enhancing focus: Calmer minds can concentrate and retain information better as the pre-frontal cortex is more engaged.
  • Building confidence: Affirmational Havening replaces self-doubt and negative self-talk with positive beliefs.
  • Improving emotional resilience: Massively reduce emotional overwhelm and stress during revision or assessment and exam anxiety and performance pressure.

Multiple Sessions:

[1] Wed 3 February 2027
[2] Wed 10 March 2027

Please note: If you book one of these sessions, then we will automatically book you on the others. So you only need to submit one booking.

Director’s Note:

Trust me, you might think this is whoo whoo, but it’s not. It could be an excellent support for your whole team. It’s worth giving it a go. At the very least, it’s a CPDF session fully prepared for you. Nothing ventured…
