Session 2: Learning through Talk
The session will look closely at Exploratory Talk or ‘Learning through Talk’ and will explore practical strategies and techniques for developing this essential aspect of Oracy across your school in day-to-day classroom practice.
The session will focus on the following questions:
- What is Exploratory Talk?
- What do confident speakers sound like?
- What do good listeners do?
- What strategies can we implement to develop children’s learning through talk across the school?
We will consider priority actions and next steps to support the development of Oracy – ‘learning through talk’ – in your school.
