Bereavement and Loss Training for TAs

Focus: Catholic Life
For: Teaching assistants

Description:

Rainbows is committed to helping children and young people grieve and grow after loss.

In the recently published report by the UK commission on Bereavement, they found that ‘talking about and acknowledging a bereavement – was important for bereaved children and young people, so they felt less alone. The Commission also heard that supporting bereaved children and young people while they were at school was really important’. The report can be found here.

This Bereavement and Loss training will help attendees to understand the impact grief has on children and young people and what schools can do to support those experiencing significant loss.

Director’s Note:

At some point bereavement will impact your school community. Support your team to be prepared.
