Nathan CrookNJC Ed Maths
Prior to becoming a maths consultant, Nathan taught children in Years 1-6 across three Oxfordshire primary schools, including those in both urban and rural settings. During this time, he qualified as a Maths Specialist Teacher (MaST). It consequently led to him becoming part of the National College for Teaching and Leadership’s ‘small schools making an impact’ programme.
Driven by his passion for helping to ensure that all children access mathematics learning to the full, Nathan has more recently worked as an NCETM accredited independent maths consultant to support schools across the country in delivering high quality teaching and learning – most notably across the Early Years and Primary phases.
As well as providing training, he continues to work alongside classes and groups of children to explore how they learn best.

Multiple Sessions:
This is a three session programme. All three sessions must be attended.
- [1] Thu 28 September 2023
- [2] Thu 29 February 2024
- [3] Tue 6 June 2024
Please note: If you book one of these sessions, then we will automatically book you on the others. So you only need to submit one booking.
Director’s Note:
Support your Maths leader. By being part of this group, they are part of a group of leaders working nationally and getting up to date information. A great support for your middle leaders and great evidence of how you, as school leader, are supporting and developing them.
