Better Headteachers Mean Better Schools (Day 4 of 6)

Focus: Leadership and Management
For: Current headteachers, senior leaders within a headship interim role, individuals that have been identified as future headteachers

Description:

Objectives:

  • To improve school outcomes by increasing leadership capital at a senior level.
  • To develop, establish and embed a professional learning programme and support group for Head Teachers with the Catholic Primary Partnership.
  • Ensuring consistency in the quality of leadership and management and supporting succession planning.
  • To increase professional awareness and understanding of organisational success and the sustainable leadership practices needed to lead a school in an ever-changing and complex world.

Session 4: Organisational capital… working on 3 core principles

Aspects explored during these modules include:

  • How do we define professional culture?
  • Influences of professional culture on pupil outcomes
  • A realistic vision for a strong, vibrant professional culture
  • Identifying specific systems and processes that shape culture
  • Effective professional thinking and the development of an effective strategy
  • CPD Vs CPL – Going deeper with professional thinking and learning
  • Critical analysis to identify future needs

Multiple Sessions:

This is a six session programme. All six sessions must be attended.

Director’s Note:

Experienced school leaders who joined us last year demanded that work with Andy continue. This group will build on from the sessions last year, however, is also suitable for those that didn’t attend previous sessions.
