When pupils are dysregulated it’s impossible for them to learn! As the number of pupils who are struggling with behaviour and SEMH needs rises in our schools, we need to move towards a model where every adult is equipped to support the children by teaching emotional regulation skills.
In this session, Emma Shackleton will guide you through the science behind what happens in brains and bodies when pupils become dysregulated and give practical strategies on what the adults can do to support, as well as some tips on how to avoid accidently making the situation worse!
