Curriculum Planning to Support All: Module 1 of 2
Focus: Curriculum
For: For class teachers
Description:
Part 1: Planning for long-term learning
In this session, which is the first of two linked courses, Matt will focus on the curriculum planning process and explore the following:
1 How to agree the vision and set the destination, ensuring the curriculum is challenging and models high expectations
2 How to assess pupil starting points and identify waypoints, thus creating a planned and sequenced curriculum which is increasingly challenging
3 How to define excellence and diminish disadvantage, ensuring all pupils, irrespective of their starting points and additional and different needs, are afforded fair access to the same ambitious curriculum and supported to achieve
This session will provide primary classroom teachers with a shared process and a language with which to plan their own ambitious, broad and balanced curriculum for their pupils.

Director’s Note:
Having met Matt and heard his enthusiasm and passion for learning, I’m sure these sessions will be excellent. Matt is a published author and experienced presenter, working across the UK. A really great session for class teachers wanting to develop their understanding of how to plan and teach to ALL of the children in their care.
