    Entrust Education Technologies

    Sharon works as an education consultant for Entrust Education Technologies. Passionate about the use of technology to enhance learning Sharon initially qualified as a primary school teacher and spent 14 years teaching in a large inner city primary school in Birmingham. The school became very successful at using technology to support learning so Sharon had the opportunity to become involved in many projects both nationally and internationally.

    Sharon also taught the PGCE ICT programme at Birmingham City University from 2005-2010. Now working with schools across the West Midlands and other authorities, Sharon encourages them to use technology, helping them make best use of technology in school.

    Vikki works as an education consultant for Entrust Education Technologies, previously a computing lead in a middle school for 6 years.

    Vikki is an expert at using technology to enhance teaching and learning and enjoys sharing her passion and enthusiasm for technology in the classroom. Vikki works with senior leaders and computing leads to provide a strategic approach to the implementation of technology. She works alongside teachers and learners to develop confidence, skills and knowledge for classroom application. In addition, Vikki has had the privilege of supporting a working party organised by the DfE to produce Teaching Online Safety in Schools guidance. Vikki has been a guest speaker at online safety events, including SEBDA and Warwickshire County Council.

For: Computing leaders

Description:

Working with our partner Entrust, this new programme of CPD is designed to provide the support, expertise and knowledge required to make leading the computing curriculum a success in your school. Lead by two highly experienced and nationally renowned subject experts, each session provides new insights to great practise, addressing current issues as well as helping to be ready for new challenges ahead. Your subject knowledge will be strengthened and your ability to lead improvement across your school enhanced. Each session includes an extended opportunity for open questions and answers, building a Catholic computing community of practise and as a cohort the ability to determine the expert input and themes of future sessions.

Multiple Sessions:

This is a six session programme. All six sessions must be attended.
