Adverse Childhood Experiences [ACEs] (1 of 2)

Focus: Catholic Life
For: Any DHT, SENCO, BeCO, family support worker, pastoral lead, SLT member, etc.

Description:

Three-hour training from the VRU and Barnardos aims to give a better understanding of the potential impact of Adverse childhood experiences.

The importance of healthy brain development and the potential impact of toxic stress.

We explore resilience and protective factors while also taking time to think about staff wellbeing.

This session will train a member of your staff team to train the rest of the staff team to deliver ACES.

Multiple Sessions:

  • [1] Mon 4 October 2021
  • [2] Mon 11 October 2021

Director’s Note:

Headteachers who have used this training have given very positive feedback. We all know Adverse Childhood Experiences are an issue in school, this training will equip one of your team to train up your whole staff. Perhaps send two staff members to ensure strong delivery back in school?
