Getting Boys to Read and Write
Focus: Curriculum
For: TAs, teachers, English leaders and, potentially, SLT
Description:
Gender differences can start appearing very early in children’s attitudes to learning, and an age-old problem is that of getting boys to engage in English. This session will take you through some exciting but easy-to-apply ideas for increasing boys’ enthusiasm for this core subject.
Director’s Note:
How often does your English data show that the ‘problem’ is boys? Do something about supporting your staff to address this. Get them booked on.
